Winston-Salem Symphony: Jackson and Dvorak

A guest conductor takes the reins of the Winston-Salem Symphony on this week’s program. George Jackson leads the orchestra in Gyorgy Ligeti’s Romanian Concerto, the Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major by Mozart—with gifted pianist Clara Yang—and Antonin Dvorak’s marvelous Symphony No. 8 in G major. It’s a treat when a guest brings so much to the party, and Mr. Jackson does just that!
