Once again on Carolina Live we’re happy to present a mix of strong symphonic music and elegant choral stylings. From a concert in the farewell season of long-cherished conductor John Gordon Ross titled Heavy Metal come works by composers as diverse as Jennifer Higdon, Ludwig van Beethoven and Christopher Rouse. Then the Charlotte Master Chorale Chamber Singers present their concert Mostly Motets, with works by such choral masters as Palestrina, Monteverdi, Edward Elgar, Benjamin Britten and modern rocker Ben Folds. Enjoy the power and the grace on this program.
