There’s a fascinating combination of symphonic power and chamber grace in the two concerts featured on this program. The South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, in a concert titled West Side Story, plays the Symphonic Dances from that landmark work, as well as music from Duke Ellington’s The River Suite. Then you’ll hear highlights from a chamber concert from the stellar series of the Rutherford Chamber Consort, with two pieces by Beethoven. A pair of memorable concerts to enjoy on Carolina Live.
