Two concerts by the Greenville Symphony provide the music for this edition of the program. From the Masterworks Series there’s a program of fantastical music inspired by the Tales of the Arabian Nights, as well as incidental music by Bizet and perhaps the most famous Rossini opera overture of all. Then for something completely different there are highlights from a concert in the Chamber Classics series featuring orchestral works celebrating one of America’s original art forms, jazz.
