Greensboro Symphony: Transformation

Sitkovetsky-250The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra’s long-time music director takes the spotlight as soloist for a powerful 20th century violin concerto by Shostakovich.

It’s part of a concert on the theme of “transformation” which is bookended by music of Ravel: his ever-popular Pavane to open the program, and his definitive orchestration of Mussorgsky’s masterpiece to close it.
