Two Mozart-themed concerts mark the composer’s late January birth anniversary. From the South Carolina Philharmonic there’s a concert mixing Mozart favorites such as the Overture to the Magic Flute and the Symphony No. 40 with homages by Frenchmen Jean Françaix & Jacques Ibert, as well as an encore by flutist Rhonda Larson.
Then from a concert in 2009 soloists from the Spartanburg Philharmonic and music director Sarah Ioannides perform movements from famous Mozart concertos.
