Edward Arron

Edward ArronEDWARD ARRON (cello) recently completed his fifth season as artistic director of the Metropolitan Museum Artists in Concert. He is also the artistic director of the Caramoor Virtuosi and of the Alpenglow Chamber Music Festival in Colorado. Since his New York recital debut in 2000 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Arron has appeared in recital, as a soloist with orchestra, and at chamber music festivals throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He has collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma, Emanuel Ax, Renée Fleming, James Taylor and Mark Morris, and has performed as a guest artist with the Tokyo and Shanghai quartets. Arron has participated in the Silk Road Project and is a member of Mosaic, an ensemble dedicated to contemporary music. A native of Cincinnati, he studied with Peter Wiley and Harvey Shapiro, and is a graduate of The Juilliard School.
